Job Description

Job Summary:
The Materials Management Data coordinator is responsible for maintaining a high level of service to ensure supplies are available for the hospital to operate efficiently for the Surgery and Emergency Department. This role will serve as a coordinator or leader for the Surgery and Emergency supply tech team. The data coordinator will also monitor inventory levels, par levels, backorders, and supply movement. This position requires a high degree of critical thinking to ensure the right supplies and services are available to support the clinical operations of the surgical department to provide the best care for the patient by reacting to planned and unplanned requests for patient treatment. This role will serve as a liaison for Materiels Management, Surgery, and Emergency dept, physicians, and vendors.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
Associates degree in Business or related field required; Bachelors degree preferred. Candidates with at least 5 years of supply inventory management experience can be considered.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:3+ years of inventory management experience required
1-3 years of supervisor experience is required
Previous Clinical experience is strongly preferred
Competent use of personal computers and software programs including office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) required
Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately

Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
