Job Summary: Prepare measure and assemble food according to recipes. Provide customer service while serving food to customers.
High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Texas driver's license
6 months prior restaurant/institutional food services experience preferred
Knowledge of food preparation/handling and principles of sanitation
Hiring preference may be given to those with institutional cooking/culinary background
Must exhibit the desire to exemplify the BSA Culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision, and the BSA Way
Position requires fluency in the English language to function in job environment appropriately
Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations
Good verbal, leadership, organizational and follow through skills
Ability to accurately follow recipes for batch cooking and spreadsheets
Operation of major institutional kitchen equipment including but not limited to the broiler, large mixer, convection ovens, gas stovetops, grill tops, electronic fryolators, conventional ovens, multiple steamers, large and small steam kettles, tilt skillets, meat slicer and measuring scales. Use of thermometer.
