POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of Respiratory Therapy and for the ongoing assessment and improvement of the Respiratory Therapy department activities. Such responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of the Respiratory Therapy department, but also the integration of the Respiratory Therapy department into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
1. A current Registered Respiratory Therapist license by the Texas Medical Board. 2. Graduate of a 2 year approved AMA School of Respiratory Care or nontraditional degree program. 3. Current Registered Respiratory Credentials from the NBRC or actively pursuing the registry exam at date of hire. 4. Registered Therapist with 1-3 years' experience to become proficient in all phases of technical and administrative responsibilities preferred. 5. Must have current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
